100% Plastic Free 〰️
If you do something, do it right. When it comes to the environmental friendliness of our products, we do not take shortcuts.
We are committed to ensuring 100% organic certified, vegan, and ethically sourced ingredients for our bars.
But what about the packaging of our bars? Plastics have never been an option for us.
The packaging of the bars as well as all the materials we use for shipping are completely plastic-free. Our packaging consists of 2 layers: FSC certified cardboard box and NatureFlex™ home-compostable foil.
FSC certification ensures that products come from responsibly managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. Our plastic-free foil made is of readily biodegradable cellulose derived from wood pulp, sourced exclusively from responsibly- managed plantations. All NatureFlex™ films meet global standards for home and industrial composting. You can bury the foil and it will naturally decompose in the soil.
All the packaging materials we use for shipping our bars are of course also completely plastic free. The materials (shipping boxes, tissue paper, stickers, tapes, cards, stuffing material) are fully recyclable and compostable. They are made either from paper or cardboard, to a large extent recycled and FSC certified.
If you have any questions about the ingredients, manufacturing process or the packaging, just contact us.
Our commitment to the plastic free oceans.
We’ve partnered with CleanHub, an organisation on a mission to prevent 50% of new ocean plastic by 2030. We have committed to stop 500 kg of non recyclable plastic from entering our oceans this year. The entire process is tracked through CleanHub’s own Track and Trace technology, ensuring certified impact. You can follow our journey here.
CleanHub is bringing waste collection systems to coastal regions where they are needed most. That will result in 1000s of new waste management hubs globally which will directly prevent plastic waste reaching the ocean and provide dignified jobs for local communities. Everything they collect is processed in the most environmentally sustainable way available.
Female empowerment.
CleanHub’s collection partner - Green Worms focuses on hiring women from self-help groups in Kerala, India. These groups are community-based associations with members from similar social and economic backgrounds specifically for women. The goal of these groups is to make a living by accepting different kinds of jobs and help their members become financially stable.
